Yes To Economic Development; No To Fluoride

NORFOLK - Norfolk voters have said yes to spending property tax dollars for economic development purposes while they have said no to fluoridating their water. In Tuesday's primary election, the Madison County Clerk reports unofficially, Norfolk voters cast 2,240 votes in favor of an LB 840 economic development plan to 1,688 against. Under the plan, $400,000 dollars a year will be used for economic development purposes. On the fluoride issue, citizens have defeated the state mandate 2,249 to 1,791.
