Work Continues At New State Fairgrounds
GRAND ISLAND (AP) - Construction crews are still laboring to finish work on buildings and landscaping on the grounds of the new site of the Nebraska State Fair, which opens Aug. 27. Officials say construction is expected to be finished by Aug. 1. State Fair director Joseph McDermott says workers are currently installing some of the electrical and plumbing fixtures in the State Fair buildings. After more than a century in Lincoln, the eleven-day fair moves to Grand Island this year.
