Woman Charged In Club Incident
NORFOLK - Refusing to leave a Norfolk night spot has landed a local woman in jail. Norfolk Police Captain Leon Chapman says Melanie Woodard, 25, is accused of attempting to get back into Club Hollywood at 117 South Third Street shortly after midnight on Saturday. He says when she refused leave, she began kicking and resisting being taken into custody by police. In addition to kicking a police officer, Chapman says Woodard is accused of assaulting Club Hollywood security personnel. She is charged with Third Degree Assault on an Officer, Third Degree Assault on a security guard and First Degree Criminal Trespass.
