Two Men Arrested with Stolen Car
NORFOLK - Two Norfolk men face charges of possession of stolen property after police officers stopped them for driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Police Chief Bill Mizner says Nick Wallace, 25, and John Dieter, 20, were arrested shortly after 8 Sunday evening when officers observed a red 1996 Geo Tracker that had been reported stolen the hour before from 311 South 8th Street. The vehicle was headed east on Madison Avenue and turned north onto 9th Street. When the officer followed, the vehicle pulled onto the terrace and the two men ran from the vehicle. Wallace and Dieter were apprehended and taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
