Two Charged With Attempted Theft
NORFOLK - Two people face several charges after attempting to steal items from a rural Norfolk residence Sunday morning. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says Joshua Beeken, 26, and Ashley Carlow, 22, were confronted by the home's resident and they fled on foot and by car. Unger says Beeken crashed on east Eisenhower Avenue into a power pole. He suffered minor injuries in the collision and was treated at the scene by Hoskins-Woodland Park Rescue. Carlow was found hiding in the area after she fled on foot. Both are being held in the Madison County Jail. Unger says Beeken is on probation for a similar incident last fall in Stanton County.
