Tilden Man Killed in Thursday Accident
MEADOW GROVE (AP) - Authorities say a 55-year-old man died at the scene of a rollover crash on a rural road in northwest Madison County. Deputy Joe Prather on Friday identified the victim as Thomas Karabel, of rural Tilden. Prather says Karabel was alone in his pickup Thursday afternoon, about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Meadow Grove, when the truck went out of control on a gravel road. The pickup rolled over and ejected Karabel. A passer-by reported the accident a little before 1 p.m. Prather says an autopsy is not planned but routine blood tests will be conducted. He says investigators could not say what caused the truck to go out of control.
