Teen Killed, Another Injured In Accident
BLOOMFIELD - A Bloomfield teenager was killed and another was critically injured after the car they were in Saturday left a county road and rolled in a field. Knox County Sheriff Jim Janecek says the driver of the car, Jessica McDonald, 17, was killed while a passenger, Dustin Poppe, 17, was flown to a Sioux City hospital in critical condition. The accident occurred about three miles southeast of the Knox County community. Meanwhile, funeral services for Jessica McDonald will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with inurnment at a late date. Visitation will be six-to-eight p-m Wednesday at the church.
