Street Flooding Reported In Norfolk
NORFOLK - Some street flooding has been reported in Norfolk after a heavy downfall of rain this morning. Cars and trucks were having trouble in the area on 13th Street and Omaha Avenue. The rain is part of a system of a number of severe thunderstorms across a large part of Nebraska. Hail, heavy rain and strong winds were reported in several locations. .10 of an inch of rain fell through 7:30 this morning at the WJAG studios in downtown Norfolk. But between 7:30 and about 8:15 a.m., another 1.08 rain fell downtown. Three-to-four inches of rain has been reported in the Atkinson area in Holt County. An Atkinson lumber yard was flooded.
NORFOLK - A flood advisory has been issued until 10:30 this morning for several area counties including Boone, Colfax, Dodge, Platte, southern Cuming, southern Madison, southern Stanton counties until 10:30 this morning.
