Storm Damage In North Central Nebraska
O'NEILL (AP) - High winds and heavy rain have flooded roadways, toppled trees and knocked down power lines in northeast Nebraska. No injuries were reported, however. A fast-moving storm ripped away a shed early Friday morning and another building was moved at least three feet off its foundation northeast of O'Neill. Six miles east of Atkinson, a pickup was severely damaged and trees were down. KBRX Radio in O'Neill reports several trees were damaged in O'Neill, and grain bins were damaged at Scribner Grain, which is about three miles north of Emmet. The Holt County Emergency Management Coordinator reports 24-to-36 inch diameter trees were uprooted and chimneys were blown from rooftops overnight in Atkinson from thunderstorm wind damage.
