State Patrol Works to Reduce Fatalities
NORFOLK - The goal of the Nebraska State Patrol is not to issue a high number of speeding tickets. The goal is to reduce traffic accidents and especially traffic fatalities. That's according to State Patrol Trooper Bill Price, who says the Patrol's goal during a special "100 Days of Summer" enforcement is to hold fatalities to one per million miles driven. A Safety Saturday special enforcement is scheduled in the Norfolk area on August 28th. Price says all of the Patrol's special enforcements are listed on the agency's website.
