Start of School at Pierce Delayed by Mold

PIERCE - The superintendent of the Pierce Public Schools says he is considering other options for elementary classes because of a serious mold problem in the elementary building. Dan Navrkal says the issue started with a problem with a new roof and was made worse by unusually wet weather this summer. Classes for Pierce Elementary students were scheduled to begin on Monday, August 16th. Parents have been notified that classes will now start on September 7th, and Navrkal says they may have to use an alternate site even then.
