Two Norfolkans involved in Olympic Trials
Two former Norfolk High standouts have been in competition at the Olympic Trials at Eugene, Oregon on Monday. Jeremy Scott has qualified for the finals in the Pole Vault by placing third in qualifying with a mark of 5.40 meters/17’ 8 ½ inches. Jared Schuurmans did not qualify for the finals in the Discus. He had a throw of 186’9 which placed him 18th overall.
