The Norfolk Catholic football team wins opener over Columbus Lakeview 38-3

Jordan Bellar looked like a veteran.  Norfolk Catholic’s sophomore quarterback, in his first start, threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as the Knights had no problem with Columbus Lakeview Thursday night at Norfolk’s Memorial Field 38-3.  Bellar was 10-14 through the air for 152 yards and two scores while also scoring on a 16 yard touchdown run late in the first half.  Erik Becker and Connor Ketter had the T.D. receptions while Luke Lyons and Dillon Arens also scored with runs.  N.C. outgained the Vikings 345-134 in yardage and led at halftime 31-0.  The 1-0 Knights have now won 14 consecutive openers.  Columbus Lakeview drops to 0-2.
