The Norfolk Catholic football team pounds Wayne 55-0

The top ranked in both polls in Class "C-1" Norfolk Catholic football team improved to 4-0 on Thursday night as they dismantled Wayne 55-0 at Norfolk's Memorial Field.  Seven different players had a hand in a touchdown in the win.  Luke Lyons had an 84 yard punt return for a score and a 31 yard T.D. run while Kory Schaefer ran for 96 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns.  Ethan Brozek had three catches for 102 yards and a score.  The Knight defense pitched their first shutout of the season allowing the Blue Devils only 92 yards of total offense.  Norfolk Catholic totaled 455 yards with 338 occurring on the ground.  N.C. pushed their win streak against Wayne to twelve games dating back to 1993.  Both teams will be in action next on Friday, October 1st as the Knights will visit Madison and the Blue Devils will host Battle Creek.
