The Norfolk High boys & girls cross country teams both placed second at yesterday’s Papillion La Vista South Invite. Concerning the boys, Lincoln Southwest was the champion with 22 points while the Panthers totaled 70. Individually, Austin Sweigard was fifth and Tim Metcalf got eighth. The Lady Panthers scored 52 points while the champion host school totaled 25 points. Individually, Melissa Parks was third and Emilee Aschoff placed tenth. The Panther boys JV got third in their criteria while the Norfolk girls JV were fourth.
Norfolk Catholic & Lutheran High Northeast had their cross country teams competing in the Wisner/Pilger Invitational yesterday. Concerning the Knights, the boys placed second in the Class “B” & “C” Division with 29 points while champion South Sioux City had 28. Individually, Tyler Maguire was the champion in 18:21, Jared Maguire was fifth and Ryan Klima took tenth. The Lady Knights were the champion with 16 points while Madison/Humphrey St. Francis was second with 32. Individually, Morgan Hauser was second, Abby Beller placed third, Dani Stappert got fourth, Megan Aschoff took seventh, Nicole Timmerman placed ninth, and Michaela O’Brien placed tenth. The Lutheran High Northeast boys was third in the Class “D” Division with 72 points. Lindsay Holy Family/Newman Grove was the champion with 42 points. Tyler Ellis was the individual champion with a time of 19:15.
