Norfolk High girls soccer team's season comes to an end
The Norfolk High girls soccer team’s season has come to a close. The Lady Panthers lost a 4-1 decision to defending state champion Millard West in the opening round of the Class “A” Girls State Soccer Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. Chelsey Poole, Anna Sibson, Beth Walde, & Claire Wiese recorded goals for the Lady Wildcats while Norfolk’s lone goal resulted on a Millard West own goal where Kaitlyn Taylor knocked the ball into her own net in the second half. Millard West led 2-0 at halftime. Norfolk goal keeper Kelsey Dinkel recorded 17 saves in the loss. The Lady Panthers season concludes at 16-4.
