Norfolk Catholic wins Lutheran High Northeast wrestling invite
The Lutheran High Northeast wrestling team hosted their own invitational yesterday. Norfolk Catholic was the team champion with a 4-1 record. Neligh/Oakdale was second with a 4-1 mark and Lutheran High Northeast placed third with a 3-2 record. The Knights beat Grand Island Central Catholic 39-33, Neligh/Oakdale 45-33, a team JV 66-12, and Fullerton 48-30. Norfolk Catholic’s lone loss occurred to the Eagles 48-30. Lutheran High Northeast’s other two wins occurred at the hands of the Team JV 42-26 and Fullerton 42-36. They lost to Neligh/Oakdale 42-39 and Grand Island Central Catholic 43-42.
Reaching the All-Dual First team for Norfolk Catholic were Dylan Field, Brandon Becker, and Cody Raemakers. Nick Beed, Michael Figueroa, Isaac Pfeifer, and Joe Lopez reached the second team.
Honored on the All-Dual First team for the Eagles were Nicholas Williams, Andrew Workman, Tyler Pflueger, Jacob Woockman, and Cody Woockman. Ryan Bodlak reached the second team.
