Norfolk Catholic holds cross country invitational

    Norfolk Catholic held their cross country invitational on Friday at Skyview Park.  In the boys race, Pierce was the team champion with 34 points, Stanton was second with 52, and Norfolk Catholic took third with 63 points.  Lutheran High Northeast totaled 144.  Individually, Pierce' Matt Keoppe was the champion in a time of 17:58.  O'Neill's Daniel Waterman was second and Boone Central's Calvin Koziol was third.  Norfolk Catholic's Jared Maguire & Tyler Maguire were sixth and seventh respectively while Lutheran High Northeast's Tyler Ellis placed ninth.
    In the girls race, Crofton was the team champion with 30 points, Lindsay Holy Family-Newman Grove was second with 32 and Norfolk Catholic took third with 60 points.  Individually, Lindsay Holy Family-Newman Grove's Andrea Weeder was the champion in 15:53.  Teammate Breanna Korus was second, and Crofton's Danielle Riesberg took third.  Norfolk Catholic's Abby Beller & Morgan Hauser was tenth and eleventh.
    Norfolk Catholic's Cole Eisenmenger won the JV boys race in 18:23 while Crofton's Abby Braun claimed the JV girls race in 18:42.  Norfolk Catholic's Matthew Wieser won the Junior High boys race and Crofton's Allison Arens took the Junior High girls race.
