Snow Still In Saturday's Forecast
NORFOLK - A winter storm warning remains in effect until midnight for a large part of northeast and eastern Nebraska. The National Weather Service reports snow will continue through much of the day. The heaviest snow will occur through the late morning hours with snow tapering off by late afternoon. Norfolk picked up about an inch of snow overnight. The NWS reports a band of snow accumulations of 6-to-11 inches is expected to extend from south central Nebraska roughly along and north of a line of the Interstate 80 corridor and into west central Iowa. Locally heavier amounts of over a foot are possible within the band of heavy snow.
