Silver Maple Most Common Tree In Norfolk
NORFOLK - A group of foresters spent most of today taking an inventory of Norfolk's trees. Nebraska Forest Service District Forester Steve Rasmussen was one of the tree experts who took to the streets of the city today to conduct an inventory of the community's trees. He told 106 KIX the survey also pointed out the fact that the west side of town still doesn't have the same number of trees as the east side. He says the most common tree in Norfolk is the Silver Maple followed by the Green Ash. The foresters worked with members of the city's newly re-formed Tree Advisory Board in Wednesday's survey.
