Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 4 p.m.
NORFOLK - The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for a good part of central and eastern Nebraska until 4:00 this afternoon. In Northeast Nebraska, the watch includes Antelope, Boone, Cedar, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton, Thurston and Wayne counties. The severe thunderstorm watch also includes the cities of Albion, Bloomfield, Columbus, Hartington, Neligh, Norfolk, Pender, Pierce, Stanton, Wayne and West Point. Hail to 2.5 inches in diameter, thunderstorm wind gusts to 70 miles per hour and dangerous lightning are possible in these areas.
