Rivers Stay Within Banks
NORFOLK - Rivers and streams stayed within their banks following heavy overnight rain in portions of northeast Nebraska. National Weather Service Meteorologist Cathy Zapotochny in Valley says there could be some rises on the North Fork River in Pierce County by Tuesday. But she tells 106 KIX NEWS she doesn't anticipate any river or stream rising above flood stage. Zapotochny says recent dry weather actually helped keep area rivers and streams in check from overnight rain.
