CROFTON - Five inches of rain was reported at several locations across northeast Nebraska between Wednesday night and Thursday. But weather observer Dave Zavadil in Crofton says the seven inches he received put the total precipitation for the year in Knox County community at 39.25 inches, which he says is over any records for any year. Norfolk picked up .67 of an inch of rain Thursday -- a new record for the date. The previous record amount was .44 in 2004. .72 fell at the downtown Norfolk studios of 106 KIX.
