The Big XII regular-season champion Nebraska women’s basketball team continued its special season by dominating the league's postseason honors, voted by the league coaches and announced by the conference office yesterday.  Coach Connie Yori earned her first Big XII Conference Coach of the Year honor, while senior forward Kelsey Griffin became the first Cornhusker to garner Big XII Player of the Year accolades.  Yvonne Turner was voted the Big XII's Co-Defensive Player of the Year.  Griffin, a 6’2 power forward from Alaska, and Turner, a 5’8 guard from Omaha, were both first-team All-Big XII selections and were both named to the Big XII All-Defensive Team.  Griffin earned first-team All-Big XII honors for the third time, placing her on a short list of three-time all-conference players at Nebraska that includes Karen Jennings, Maurtice Ivy and Kiera Hardy.  Griffin also joined Jennings and Ivy as the only conference players of the year in school history.  It was Griffin's first appearance on the Big XII All-Defensive Team.
