Plane Crash Pilot Identified
LINDSAY (AP) - Nebraska authorities have released the name of a 41-year-old Texas crop-dusting pilot who died in the crash of his plane. Platte County Sheriff Jon Zavadil identified the pilot Tuesday as William East, of Wichita Falls, Texas. Zavadil says East died upon impact of his plane a little before 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, southeast of Lindsay in eastern Nebraska. The sheriff says the his office and federal authorities are still investigating what caused the crash while East was spraying nearby fields.
