Patrol Urges Caution Around School Busses
LINCOLN (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol is urging motorists to use extra caution around school buses after the second deadly crash involving a school bus in as many weeks. A Ponca man was killed Tuesday when the vehicle he was driving struck a school bus from behind as it was stopped to pick up a student in Dixon County. A Farwell man died on Sept. 19 when the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of a stopped school bus in Howard County. Patrol Col. David Sankey says Wednesday that it was fortunate other people weren't injured in the accidents and that everyone must pay extra attention when school buses are on the road.
