NPPD Dedicates Its New Norfolk Facility
NORFOLK - Local and state dignitaries were on hand this morning for a special occasion in Norfolk as Nebraska Public Power District dedicated its new Norfolk Operations Center. The 87,000 square foot structure combines the company's four previous locations in the city at one site at 1200 South Chestnut. NPPD President and CEO Ron Asche called this day a "milestone" for the company. 72 employees work out of the new center -- which is on the same campus as NPPD's system wide "Customer Care Call Center" that opened in 1990. A public open house of the new building will be held Friday afternoon from 1-to-5.
