Norfolk Voters To Consider Park Plan
NORFOLK - Norfolk voters will cast their ballots for more than just candidates in the November second election. The City Council approved a resolution Monday night that calls for voters to consider 16.4 million dollars in bonds to finance renovations and construction of improvements to baseball, football and swimming facilities at Memorial and Ta-Ha-Zouka parks. It's been generating support because it would substitute a property tax increase to finance the proposal with four percent occupation tax on lodging and two percent prepared food and beverages.
