Norfolk Students "Walk ThroughThe Woods"

NORFOLK - About 200 fourth graders are seeing the importance of trees in one local park. University of Nebraska Extension Forester Steve Rasmussen says he and other foresters are conducting a "Walk in the Woods" today in Ta-Ha-Zouka Park to show the students the importance of trees. Rasmussen says in addition to walking through the woods, a small saw mill was also set up to show the kids how logs are used in making different products. Norfolk Mayor Sue Fuchtman joined the students in planting a tree today at the park.
