Norfolk Store Employee Charged With Theft

NORFOLK - An employee of a Norfolk retailer at the Sunset Plaza has been accused of theft of cash over a two-year period. Kimberly Ramirez, 20,  was arrested late last week on a charge of felony theft. Norfolk Police Captain Leon Chapman says the Loss Prevention Manager at the J.C. Penny store advised that management spoke with employees about the thefts. They stopped, but resumed a short time later. Chapman says an investigation narrowed in on Ramirez. The estimated loss was between $1,200 and $2,400 dollars.
