Norfolk Park Plan Reviewed
NORFOLK - An Omaha company is helping Norfolk reshape its park system by creating a Recreational Master Plan. According to the firm Community ReDesigned, Norfolk is one of the first communities in the country to use something called "CitizenSourcing" as a primary means of community input into the final plan. Dave Ciaccio outlined several recommendations they are looking at in the master plan to the City Council Monday night. That includes things like expanding the city's current trail system -- including improving the Skyview Lake trail, decommissioning some small out-of-the-way neighborhood parks, and creating some new parks in the future. Ciaccio says they will be finishing work on the preliminary plan in the next few weeks.
