Norfolk Officials Encouraged By New Analysis
NORFOLK - Norfolk officials are encouraged by a few factors in a new economic analysis of the city, Madison County and the surrounding area. City Administrator Al Roder says the Economic and Trends Analysis was conducted by the Nebraska Public Power District. He told the City Council Monday night, the analysis shows Madison County outpaces the state's metro and non-metro areas in the percent of salary in trade and wholesale sectors, as well as education and health services. Roder says Madison County has also seen an increase in population in the 15-to-24 age group -- reversing a trend seen in non-metropolitan Nebraska.
