Norfolk Man Sent To Prison
MADISON (AP) - A Norfolk man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl. Madison County District Judge Robert Ensz sentenced Ron Glandt, 62, to 4-5 years in prison earlier this week. Glandt pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual assault as part of a deal with prosecutors who reduced the charge from first-degree sexual assault. Prosecutors say Glandt admitted kissing the girl on her vagina. The incident happened more than two years ago, but the girl just reported it to her mother and police in January. Glandt's lawyer, Daniel Fullner, had argued the assault was a mistake in judgment that wouldn't be repeated. But Madison County Attorney Joe Smith said Glandt had a history of similar behavior.
