Norfolk Man Charged Following Crash

NORFOLK - Norfolk Police arrested a man over the weekend after he fled the scene of a property damage accident near Second Street and Prairie Avenue. Captain Leon Chapman says Dominique Gonzalez had a blood alcohol level of .15 when was arrested about a block away on Saturday. Chapman says after the 18-year-old crashed the car, he left the scene and was in a nearby house when officers arrived there. He was apprehended after a pursuit. In addition to DUI, Gonzalez faces charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, obstructing a police officer, no operator's license, minor in possession and minor in consumption.
