Norfolk Hosts USA Special Olympics Torch
NORFOLK - The 2010 National Special Olympic Games will be held in Lincoln with opening ceremonies set for Sunday. Norfolk welcomed the Game's Torch Run as it made its way through the city. Three athletes and law enforcement officers from several states are carrying the torch through 70 Nebraska communities this week. In addition to Norfolk, the torch run also made stops Monday in Omaha, Madison, Neligh, Wayne and South Sioux City. Three thousand athletes are expected to take part in the National games in Lincoln.
