Norfolk Comedy Festival Begins Tonight
NORFOLK - Tonight marks the opening of the Viaero Great American Comedy Festival -- a tribute to native show Johnny Carson. The festival begins with amateur night. Approximately 12 amateurs who qualified in earlier rounds will take the stage at the Johnny Carson Theatre at 7 p.m. The show is hosted by Norfolk's own Dennis Collins. The Comedy Festival continues Thursday and Friday nights with 20 professional comedians. The Comedy Night Finals will be held Saturday with featured guests actor Ed Asner and Johnny Carson's brother Dick Carson. Tickets are available on-line at greatamericancomedyfestival.com. They'll also be available at the door.
