New Councilman Appointed
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has unanimously approved Mayor Sue Fuchtman's appointment of Thad Murren to fill a Ward Four seat on the Council. He will fill the remaining two years on Erik Wilson's term. He moved out of the ward earlier this month. Murren -- who was one of four men to apply for the open position -- says he will seek election to the seat in 2012. Southeast Norfolk's Ward Four will see another new councilman later this year. Karl Reeder is not seeking re-election in November.
