Man Sought for Armed Robbery in Norfolk
NORFOLK - Norfolk Police are seeking a 23-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery that occurred yesterday in the city. Police Captain Leon Chapman says a woman reported she had been robbed at gunpoint about 11:30 Thursday morning. She said a man and woman she knows entered her home at 706 North 1st Street armed with handguns, and took about $100 from her purse. Chapman says officers stopped the suspect vehicle when it pulled into the Woodhurst Apartments area south of the Riverside Boulevard and Benjamin Avenue intersection. The man driving the vehicle fled on foot, but police were able to arrest the female passenger, Sada Carr, 23. No weapons were located in the vehicle or on Carr. Chapman says the male who fled has been identified as Joshua Taylor, and anyone with information about his whereabouts or this robbery is asked to call the Norfolk Police Division or Norfolk Area Crime Stoppers.
