Local Man Sentenced On Burglary Charge
STANTON - A Norfolk man has been sentenced to prison in connection with an attempted burglary. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says Jerrod Altevogt, 26, was given 20-to-40 months during Friday's sentencing in Stanton County District Court. He was arrested last year near a rural residence east of Norfolk after he was observed entering the residence and leaving with property. Altevogt was subsequently found in the area by officers from the Stanton County Sheriff's Office and taken into custody. Unger says Altevogt was also found guilty of driving while intoxicated at the time of the incident and was given a 60-day jail sentence for that offense.
