Heavy Rain Falls Over The Weekend
STANTON - Heavy rain fell across parts of northeast Nebraska over the weekend. In fact, there was so much rain southeast of Norfolk, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for eastern Platte, northwestern Colfax and southeastern Stanton counties from approximately 1:00 to 3:30 Sunday morning. Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall fell across the warned area. Estimates ranged from two-to-three inches. Communities in the warned area included: Columbus, Clarkson, Creston, Duncan, Leigh, Monroe and Platte Center.
