Heat Advisory Issued For Saturday
NORFOLK - Mostly sunny skies and gusty south winds will drive temperatures into the middle 90s Saturday afternoon along with very humid conditions. Heat index values will hover around 105 degrees for much of the afternoon in eastern Nebraska. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The heat and humidity will make heat exhaustion or heat stroke more likely if precautions are not taken. Prolonged exposure to the heat and vigorous outdoor activities increase these risks.
