Ground Broken On New Chamber Building
NORFOLK - Ground was broken Wednesday afternoon on an important new building for Norfolk and the region. Local and state dignitaries were on hand as shovels of dirt were turned over for the new Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce buildling and Visitor Center at 7th Street and Norfolk Avenue. Governor Dave Heineman congratulated the community on the "event." He told those gathered that he enjoys ground breaking ceremonies and the state as whole can be proud of these types of accomplishments. Heineman says he knows of some governors who have not attended a groundbreaking or ribbon cutting ceremonies in over two years.
