Fortenberry Says Government Slow to Act on Gulf Coast
WASHINGTON - Nebraska First District Congressman Jeff Fortenberry grew up in Louisiana, so a recent trip to the Gulf Coast to see first hand the damage from the oil spill there was bittersweet. Fortenberry says he met with shrimp fishermen who have offered suggestions for ways to protect their livelihood and environmentally sensitive areas, but the government has been slow to respond to their suggestions.
