Former Gubernatorial Candidate Charged
LINCOLN (AP) - Former Democratic candidate for governor Mark Lakers is being charged with a misdemeanor for his alleged mishandling of campaign finance reports. Attorney General Jon Bruning said Lakers will be arraigned in Lancaster County Court on Friday. Lakers dropped out of the governor's race in July amid questions about his campaign finance reports. He allegedly inflated or falsified the filings. Lakers has said he made some errors on the reports.
