LINCOLN. (AP) - Census data from last year suggest there are more foreign-born people living in Nebraska. The American Community Survey indicates in 2009, there were nearly 106,200 foreign-born people in the state, compared with nearly 97,700 in 2008. That was a jump of around 8,500 in one year, compared with a decline of about 1,000 a year for the three years previous. The survey also says the Nebraska poverty rate rose to 12.3 percent last year, compared with 10.8 percent in 2008.
