Flood Warnings Remain in Niobrara Area
NIOBRARA - Flood warnings continue for the Missouri River near Niobrara. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, reports that the river at Verdel was at 24.3 feet at 10 a.m. this morning. Flood stage at Verdel is 24 feet. At Niobrara, the Missouri was measured at 22 feet at 8 a.m. this morning. Flood stage at Niobrara is 21 feet. And at Springfield, South Dakota, the river was at 10.9 feet at 9 .m., nearly a foot above the 10-foot flood stage.
