Flood Warning On The Elkhorn River
WEST POINT - A flood warning remains in effect on the Elkhorn River due to ice jams and snow melt in central Cuming, northeastern Dodge and southwestern Washington counties. The warning runs through 4:30 this afternoon. County officials report Highway 32 running west through West Point is closed. Also, Highway 275 near Crowell is closed. At this point, water levels have stabilized with no indication of further rising. However, the National Weather Service reports occasional fluctuations are expected due to continued ice action and snow melt.
