Flash Flood Watch Canceled

HARTINGTON - Minor flooding was reported Thursday morning across portions of northern Cedar, northern Antelope and Knox counties following heavy rain Wednesday. National Weather Service reports its local observers indicate five-to-seven inches of rain fell Wednesday night and overnight into this morning. A flood advisory continues for eastern Knox County until 7:30 this evening. Local law enforcement reported minor flooding continuing in that region. The heavy rainfall was causing Bazille Creek to run at bank full. Some county roads in Knox County may have water over them. Other areas that have seen minor flooding include Crofton, Fordyce, Wynot, Hartington, Verdigre, Center, Creighton, Bloomfield and Orchard. A flash flood watch for most of northeast Nebraska has been canceled.
