Fire Destroys Valentine Business
VALENTINE (AP) - Firefighters from several nearby departments rushed to Valentine this morning to help fight a blaze at one of Valentine's oldest businesses. The departments were called to Ohlmann Building Center and lumberyard at 7:45 a.m. Valentine Fire Chief Terry Engles says the fire was close to containment by 10 a.m. The heavy, black smoke forced nearby residents from their homes. Firefighters reported no injuries. Officials say the company's main building looked like a total loss. The business is nearly 100 years old.
