Favorable Reaction To Norfolk Rec. Plan

NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council is getting favorable reaction for a proposed upgrade in facilities at Memorial Park. Councilmen said at a work session this week, several people have indicate support for the proposal. The Council announced recently the cost of the plan has been reduced by millions and it will not require a property tax increase to finance. Financing would come from a proposed occupation tax on prepared food, beverages and lodging -- combined with priority funds set aside by the Council.
